Twenty-five years ago, we embarked on a journey of faith, leaving behind everything familiar to migrate to a new land. It was a leap, a step into the unknown, but we clung to the promise of God’s guidance. Looking back, I can see His hand in every step, every challenge, and every triumph.
Leaving our homeland was daunting, but God provided a soft landing, a community that embraced us, and opportunities we never imagined. He nurtured our roots in this new soil, allowing us to flourish and build a life filled with His blessings.
One of the greatest blessings has been watching our daughter grow up in this land of opportunity. She absorbed the culture, embraced the values, and blossomed into a remarkable young woman.
When the world was gripped by uncertainty at the start of the pandemic, she stepped forward as a beacon of hope, graduating as a registered nurse.
It was a testament to her dedication, but also a reflection of God’s provision. He equipped her with the skills and the heart to serve during a time of great need.
And then, just five months ago, we were blessed to see another divine intervention: her marriage to the love of her life. It was a celebration of love, faith and the fulfilment of prayers whispered over many years. God brought them together, two souls destined to intertwine, and their union was a beautiful reflection of His perfect plan.
Now, they are settled into their own home, building their future together, a future built on the foundation of faith and love. This milestone, like every other, is a testament to God’s unwavering presence in our lives.
Looking back over these nearly three decades, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Gratitude for the courage He instilled in us to take that initial leap, gratitude for the opportunities He opened, and gratitude for the blessings He has showered upon our family.
This journey has not been without its challenges, but through every storm, God has been our anchor. He has proven time and again that His plans are greater than our own, that His love is steadfast, and that His faithfulness endures through generations.
We give God all the glory for our migration, for our daughter’s growth and achievements, for her beautiful marriage, and for the home they now share.
This story is His story, a testament to His grace, and a reminder that with Him, all things are possible. May our lives continue to reflect His love and be a beacon of hope to those around us.
