I never knew the one thing I used to overlook during my time at Karunya would now become the one I miss the most—the morning assembly

After leaving Karunya and visiting many other institutions, I came to understand how rare it is to have such a tradition. The morning assembly wasn’t just a gathering; it was a time when the entire university came together as one big family. Whether it was a short prayer, a song, or an inspiring speech, those moments had a way of staying with us. The words spoken in those assemblies often echoed in my mind during the day, encouraging me just when I needed it the most.

At the time, it was something I dragged myself to, often just for the sake of attendance. But looking back now, I realize how special those moments were and how much they shaped me.

They weren’t just about routine or discipline, the assemblies also provided a stage for students to showcase their talents. Whether it was music, singing, public speaking, or any other form of creative expression, the assembly gave us all a chance to step forward, build confidence, and share something meaningful. It wasn’t just about fulfilling a requirement—it was about discovering ourselves in ways we never anticipated.

What once felt like an obligation has now become a cherished part of my journey, one I wish I could relive just once more.
